Why You will love Garlic and Dill Chip Dip
Fast and Simple – This recipe is so simple and takes less than 10 minutes to make! It uses one bowl and no fancy equipment!
Great for Gatherings – When I find out about a gathering last minute or in the middle of holiday season stress, this is my go to dish to pass. I can even pack a bag of spices to take with me on the plane and buy chips and yogurt when I land for an instant dish to pass.
Healthy and Delicious – The base is yogurt, which is so much healthier than any chip dip you can buy in the store and it lets me indulge guilt free!

Ingredients and Substitutions for Garlic and Dill Chip Dip
Yogurt – You can use Greek or regular yogurt styles for this dip, it will effect how runny your finished product is. I prefer Greek yogurt because the end dip is thick and creamy, but if you like runnier dips you can use regular yogurt too.
Dill Weed – Dill weed is a primary ingredient in this dip and it is delicious! I use dried dill, because I keep it in my pantry, but you could substitute fresh dill too.
Garlic Powder – Garlic powder is another signature flavor in this dish, so leaving it out is going to change how the dip tastes.
Minced Onion – Minced onion is a spice made up of tiny pieces of onion and this is the spice that soaks up a lot of the extra liquid in the dish. Get yourself some minced onion for this dish, because it won’t taste the same without it.
Salt – Any salt will work well! If you are watching your salt intake you can leave it out.
Pepper – Any colored pepper will work for this recipe.
Worcestershire Sauce – Worcestershire sauce helps add a layer of flavor that help the other spices pop. I have forgotten to add it before and the dip is still delicious, but it is better with it!

How to Make Garlic and Dill Chip Dip
Add the yogurt and all the spices to the bowl.

Add the Worcestershire sauce and mix until the spices are evenly distributed.

Move the dip to an airtight container for at least an hour before serving for best flavor.
Tips for Making Garlic and Dill Chip Dip
Garlic and dill chip dip is best made ahead. Giving the yogurt time to soak in all the spices, helps it become more delicious and flavorful than it would be without the wait time.
You can make it one hour in advance all the way to 3 days in advance. The flavors blend even more as the yogurt ages.
Add milk if your dip is too thick. If you pull it out of the fridge and the dip is thicker than you want you can add milk to thin it back out.
Strain the dip if it is too thin. If your dip is too thin after you let it sit, and you have time before serving, you can line a colander with a towel and strain some of the whey from the dip. Even just 15 minutes will make a difference!
