You will Love this Chicken Noodle Soup!
This chicken noodle soup is a simple and fast recipe that can be made any weeknight and doubled or tripled easily.
Chicken Noodle Soup is the perfect beginner friendly recipe that anyone can make! I want you to feel confident making this soup for your family. It is simple, fast, and delicious!
Make this recipe your own. You can add any vegetables you want to this soup or leave them out if you like. You can add any spices you like. My husband adds cayenne pepper and soy sauce.
Chicken noodle soup is comforting when you are sick and this soup is simple enough to make while you are ill. When you are ill having something that tastes better than canned soup is a treat!
How can I Make Soup Faster?
The longest waiting time for this soup is heating the water or broth that you are using.
When I am in a hurry, I boil the liquid in my electric kettle or turn the burner on high. If you turn the burner on high you need to be in the kitchen area to hear it boil.
If you can speed up the liquid heating, then the recipe can be as quick as 15-20 minutes.
To keep the recipe quick use ingredients that you drain and dump into the recipe. I love canned or frozen vegetables and canned protein for quick soup!
Using drain and go ingredients makes it so you only have to heat the food added, not cook it thoroughly. You have to cook the noodles, everything else is just reheated.
Soup can be just as quick as driving to get take out!
Soup Pro Tip – Add the frozen vegetables last so that they cool the broth and cook at the same time. Then you can enjoy your food even faster!

Ingredients and Substitutions for Chicken Noodle Soup
Chicken Broth – Store bought is the easiest, but you can make your own too. Add more broth if you want a lot of broth to food ratio.
Vegetables – I use frozen mixed vegetables because they are always in my freezer ready to use.
Ramen Noodles – You could use a cup of regular noodles or broken spaghetti noodles, whatever you have on hand. My favorite ramen noodle packs to buy is made by Lotus Foods.
Canned Chicken – You can use frozen cooked chicken too, but the canned is more widely available.
Garlic Powder – We love garlic, so you can never have to much. If you want to leave it out of add more, feel free!
Salt – Any salt will work well here! Seasoned salts would taste great too.
Pepper – Any pepper would work!

How to Store Leftovers
If you plan to store the food overnight, then you may want to remove the noodles.
The noodles will continue to absorb the liquid overnight. You can store the noodles in a separate bowl and recombine them when you are eating it again.
The soup will last 3-5 days in the refrigerator.
